The D’Aloisio family have been involved in the agricultural heritage of the Yarra Valley since the late 1960's and in 1994 planted the first vines on their 36 hectare property, known as Yarraland. Plantings initially included red varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot and Pinot Noir along with white varieties of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. 2011 saw the introduction of Italian varietals, Barbera, Sangiovese and Nebbiolo as well as the Spanish varietal of Tempranillo.
Constantly striving to produce fruit of the highest quality for our Billanook Estate wines is reflected in the meticulous way the Yarraland Vineyard is managed. Family members oversee the process of the grapes to wine, from harvest to bottle.
The Yarra Valley region is located in the south east of Australia and is world renowned for its cool climate growing conditions that produce premium quality grapes.
Our Billanook Estate vineyard is located in one of the prime positions in the Yarra Valley that takes in spectacular views.
